Beauty: Zoella’s Let’s Spritz Fragrance

Standard

dsjfhjdI am recommending Zoella’s Let’s Spritz Fragranced Body Mist. Previously I have recommended her Blissful Mistful body mist which you can see here.

I have very much adopted the YouTube culture of this decade, with many YouTubers bringing out books and products. Some of these include beauty products from Zoella, Tanya Burr, Fleur de Force and Ruth Crilly and stationary from Jim Chapman under the name ‘James and Friends’. Zoella’s products are no different and I very much enjoy them.j

One of my best friends has made it a tradition of sorts to buy me Zoella’s fragrances as presents. This Christmas she bought me the Let’s Spritz body mist and I love it. The perfume is sweet but is a little more grown up than Zoella’s last fragrance, not that either are childish in any way.

The size of the perfume is 45ml and genuinely lasts a long time – well worth the money, since… It’s cheap! You can find Zoella’s products at Superdrug. The first fragrance was usually £8 or £9 but this one is almost half the price at £4.80 (source: freeunique).

But… I didn’t want to just neglect the idea altogether so today I leave you with TalkBeckyTalk’s recent videos (plus a lush haul video she put up) and on Monday, I’ll share with you some of Fleur DeForce’s Christmas videos.

Enjoy!

Beauty: Zoella’s Perfume

I am recommending Zoella’s Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist.

I have very much adopted the YouTube culture of this decade, with many YouTubers bringing out books and products. Some of these include beauty products from Zoella, Tanya Burr, Fleur de Force and Ruth Crilly and stationary from Jim Chapman under the name ‘James and Friends’. I’ve not yet bought myself any of these products although I do have a few YouTuber books. Anyway, my friend bought me Zoella’s perfume for my birthday earlier this year and I have genuinely loved it.

It smells good! The perfume smells sweet and girly but don’t be mistaken, it’s not a children’s perfume,Zoella_Blissful_Mistful_45ml_1411576372_main it’s suited for young adults, although that doesn’t stop anyone who wants to wear it from wearing it of course.

It lasts forever! My birthday was in February and I kid you not, that I’ve been wearing this perfume so often, especially in the latter part of the year: I’ve been wearing it every day for a while now and there is still a third of perfume left! The size of the perfume is 45ml – well worth the money.

It’s cheap! You can find Zoella’s products at Superdrug and it tends to sell at £8 a bottle and right now (see date of post) at my local Superdrug, all of the Zoella products are on sale 3 for 2!

Fashion: Primark Dresses for £3

Standard

IMG_2081Today I’m recommending dresses from Primark.

I recently bought the black version of this dress (in the picture attached), it fits amazingly well, and it was very simple and plain, great for everyday wear. These dresses were previously £5 (already super cheap!) but were reduced to £3. WHAT AN AMAZING BARGAIN!

To take advantage of Primark’s prices, I went back a day later to pick up the dress in two other colours, red and white. I would’ve also picked up the navy version had it been in my size. Pink was also available (but not a colour I would personally choose). I can’t wait to get wearing my new dresses and if you want to take advantage of this amazing offer, see if your local Primark are reducing similar stock.

Beauty: Elizabeth Arden Make-Up

Standard

Let’s talk beauty…

Recently I was gifted thElAe beautiful Elizabeth Arden’s All Day Chic make-up set and I figured since I’m enjoying it so much I should recommend some of the products here.

What comes in the set is; four lipsticks, two lip glosses, two eyeshadow and powder palettes, a mascara, two lip pencils, two eye pencils, two brushes, a make-up remover and of course the bag it all came in.

The lipsticks come in the colours Desert Rose, a light shimmering pink colour, Breathless, a plumier coloured pink, Ultra Violet, a deep purple colour, as the name suggests and Red Door Red, a wonderful blue toned red. I haven’t yet used these all too much to suggest their staying power and moisturising/drying effects but they certainly go on well and have rich colours.

The lip glosses come in the colours Passion Fruit, a shimmering hot pink with a plum undertone, and Precious Petal, a shimmering peach tone. These are thick lip glosses and will stay on a while. They feel moisturising rather than drying, however, they are more of a sticky consistency, as many lip glosses are, so if you’re not a fan of that texture these won’t be for you.

The lip pencils are in two brown toned colours, Bare (a clay colour) and Sugared Kiss (a red based brown). These I haven’t used these on my lips since I don’t get on well with lip pencils but oddly, I mistook one for a brown eyeliner and used it on my lids. It was a great base for an eye shadow of a similar colour and kept on my lid all day. The eye pencils also have great deep colours in Gun metal and Smokey Black especially for people like me who like their black eyeliner.DSCF1307

Next is the mascara, which I have totally fallen in love with, it extends the length of your lashes amazingly and, when accompanied by the Smokey Black eyeliner, looks incredible.

The two eyeshadow/powder palettes include a range of colours and you can see from the pictures in this post exactly what is included in each one. The two palettes each contain 8 eye shadows, a blush and a shimmer powder. These include really great everyday colours suitable for everyone’s personal preferences and include colours suitable for contouring, blush, highlights and obviously eye shadow. However, these colours are very sheer and are not very pigmented. My particular favourite of the two palettes is the Nude Shimmer powder (from the gold palette) which I think is a beautiful colour and can be used as a highlighter.

Lastly, the set includes a round head brush and an angled brush for applying your makeup and a make-up remover (All Gone Eye and Lip Makeup Remover). These are all super good quality and work effectively.

If you want to look at the make-up set yourself and possibly gift another with it, you can see it here.

Beauty/Fashion: Black Lace Box Clutch

Standard

bagI rarely buy a new bag, I suppose I’m just not that kind of girl, but this weekend I bought this amazing clutch/shoulder bag and I love it so much I just have to recommend it.

As you can see in the pictures, it is a black and rose gold rectangular shaped clutch. The black panels are faux leather with a layer of black lace on top. I’m a massive fan of lace detailing in clothes and accessories and so this is why the bag caught my eye as I walked past it in New Look. It is lined with black polyester material and it comes with a rose gold chain attached to the top to transform the clutch into a shoulder bag; this which can be removed easily at the users’ choice.DSCF1300

Although small, as clutches typically are, the bag can fit quite a bit in, such as a phone, a thin purse, lip stick and other smaller personal belongings.

Even better was the price… originally £15.99, I managed to pick up the bag while it had a 25% discount which made it £12 instead.

If you want to pick up your own for £12, you can find it here. http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/bags-and-purses/black-lace-box-clutch-_341299001

Beauty: What’s in my shower?

Standard

DSC07804Today I’m going through the products I have in my shower, since I’m absolutely loving them recently.

First, Shampoo. I’ve been using the Anovia Head On Detangling Shampoo. It’s a wonderful product as it is so easy to lather and then to wash out so that you get the cleanest hair and no horrible residue. It treats the hair as well since it has tea tree oil in the formula. If I’m not using this shampoo I tend to use Head and Shoulders for the same reasons.

Conditioner. I don’t use conditioner often because to be honest, I don’t feel like I need to. When I do use it though, I’ve been using the Wilko’s Fruits Rhubarb and Vanilla conditioner. I love the smell and I love the whole Fruits range which is why I have a lot of it.

Shower Gel. At the moment I’ve been alternating between two Fruits shower gels. The Strawberry and Pomegranate one and the Lemon and Black Pepper one. The scents are so strong but not in an overpowering way. They’re just so delicious. The Fruits range are currently 3 for £3, so they’re a good bargain too.

So far, these tend to be my typical shower products but recently I’ve found or been given some hotel ‘freebies’. First I have two from a London hotel, I think, it doesn’t say on the bottles, and I’ve got a body wash and a shampoo. They’re Refresh products ‘enriched with natural extracts of Aloe Vera’ and I have to say they’re quite good. The next three are from Letoonia Resorts (in Turkey I think) and I was given these by my grandma. I have a shampoo, a shower gel and a hair conditioner. Once again, these work pretty well and I’ve had no complaints from any of my hotel ‘goodies’.

That’s it!
