Fashion: Primark Dresses for £3

Standard

IMG_2081Today I’m recommending dresses from Primark.

I recently bought the black version of this dress (in the picture attached), it fits amazingly well, and it was very simple and plain, great for everyday wear. These dresses were previously £5 (already super cheap!) but were reduced to £3. WHAT AN AMAZING BARGAIN!

To take advantage of Primark’s prices, I went back a day later to pick up the dress in two other colours, red and white. I would’ve also picked up the navy version had it been in my size. Pink was also available (but not a colour I would personally choose). I can’t wait to get wearing my new dresses and if you want to take advantage of this amazing offer, see if your local Primark are reducing similar stock.

Beauty and Hair: Argan Oil Heat Protectant

Standard

Argan OilHello, I am back with today’s hair/beauty recommendation. Hopefully, we all know how important heat protectant is for your hair when you heat style or blow-dry. I use Argan Oil Heat Defence Leave In Spray.

This product is wonderful. Not only does it protect your hair from the damage caused by curlers, straighteners and hair dryers, it also makes your hair healthier as the ‘moroccan argan oil extract’ is ‘hydrating, nourishing and cleansing’ or so the packaging states. I couldn’t agree more. This product makes your hair brighter, softer and shinier and so overall healthier.

I also managed to pick up this product for about £1 – £1.99 in a local PoundStretcher – such a bargain!

Beauty: Flexitol Hand Balm

Standard

DSC07778Do you have dry, cracked hands? Have you tried every hand lotion under the sun and yet nothing is working? Have you given up or are you determined not to take a trip to the doctors? I may have the answer because once, fair follower, I was like you.

I often struggle with dry hands due to a multitude of reasons from washing my hands too much, genetics and changes in the weather. I got to a point where my hands were in an awful state. They were horrifically dry, red and sore and uncomfortable. The longer it went on I realised it wasn’t being affected by the weather anymore but rather was caused by the fact I couldn’t find a decent hand lotion and I didn’t apply hand lotion enough.

This was all changed when I found Flexitol Hand Balm as a recommendation my mum got from her friend. This hand lotion is brilliant. It is relatively cheap at approximately £5 and only needs to be used sparingly. All you need is a small ‘blob’ of the lotion and then rub it into your hands. It manages to cover all of your hands, doesn’t have an awful sticky or nasty residue and works surprisingly fast. Within a day you do notice a difference as long as your apply the lotion regularly.

I really do recommend this product, it has worked so well for me and I still use it from time to time to prevent my hands from reaching the stage they once did.

Beauty: Bristows Dry Shampoo

Standard

Close Up Dry ShampooLet’s talk about something hair related once again…

Today I want to recommend Bristow’s Dry Shampoo. I usually use Batiste Dry Shampoo, but I thought I’d give this one a try as it was slightly cheaper. For me, it works just as good if not better. The product can be used  to refresh your hair between washes or to give your hair some more volume. The way to use the product is by spraying it at the roots in the areas that usually become greasy first, or are greasy, and work the product in with your hands. Often the product will leave a white, powdery residue which will need to be rubbed into the hair and roots. After you have done this, take a comb and comb through your hair. Not only will this now neaten the hair you’ve probably messed up but it also continues to rub it in and remove any excess product. I found this product in PoundStretcher recently and it only cost me a pound! Well worth that money for sure! Great brand, great product, great price.

Beauty and Hair: Bristow’s Shine Spray

Standard

Shine Spray Close UpLet’s talk about something hair related…

Today I want to recommend Bristow’s Shine Gloss Booster. This product basically gives your hair a much shinier look as soon as you use it. The product works as a spray, you can use as much or as little as you like. I tend to use this on wet or dry hair by just spraying on the top and underneath of my hair, I then take a brush or a comb and work the product through my hair and leave it to dry. As soon as it is dry there are noticeable results. My friends and my family have noticed my shinier hair when I use the shine spray and I know it gives my hair a much healthier and alive appearance. It also helps tame frizz and leaves the hair super soft and what makes it even better is that I found this in Poundland, so it only cost me a pound! A pound for such a renowned brand and a great product = perfect.
