Other: Nomination Charm Bracelets

Standard

Today I want to recommend something a little different: IMG_0460jewellery. I was recently given a NOMINATION charm bracelet for my birthday which I was allowed to choose and it was something I had wanted.

I’m recommending this bracelet in case you want an alternative to, for example, Pandora charm bracelets. I do like Pandora bracelets to a certain extent but I felt that if my parents were going to spend money on a piece of jewellery for me, I would much prefer a simpler style so that I could wear it everyday and be able to remember my birthday through it.

NominatIMG_0455ion is an Italian brand and the charms are available to order from several online stores and high street stores such as John Creed, Joshua James and Stanley Hunt.

To be honest, the aim of this post is only to raise people’s attention to another charm bracelet as it is as widely advertised as othIMG_0456er brands are. I like both Nomination and Pandora and I think charm bracelets are really good presents which can be built upon and hold a lot of meaning. With that thought, I’ll post some pictures here of my own bracelet as it is at the moment so that you can get a feel for what it looks like.

PS. I just wanted to let you guys know that I won’t be posting for the next two weeks as I have once again run out of content. Hopefully this break will give me something new to recommend. I apologise for the inconvenience.

Film: Kingsman – The Secret Service

Standard

kingsman

So… I’m celebrating my birthday this week, and part of this meant taking my friends to the cinema to see Kingsman. It was the only thing I wanted to watch out of everything being shown right now. I’m glad I made this choice. My friends, even though they didn’t know what to expect, or even what we were going to watch, loved every second of the film too.

First and foremost, the cinematography of this film (talking as a Media Studies student) is breathtaking. I had chills from the effects and the impressive quality of the film. It was absolutely flawless and even though I’m not even 20 yet, I still can’t get over the ever-improving quality of these new films.

Now, I’ll stop acting old and talk more about the film itself. The imdb  summary reads as follows:  ‘Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn, Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius’. These agents, or spies, are the new Knights of England.

The cast are phenomenal. There’s the brilliant Colin Firth, Michael Caine, Mark Strong and Jack Davenport with Mark Hamill and Samuel L. Jackson. All of them are fantastic actors but then there’s Taron Egerton, an up-and-coming new actor. Kingsman is his first film and he has the starrob_f4c123_kingsman-the-secret-serviceing role, rightly so, because he is ultra-talented and, as my friends will be keen to remind everyone, really good looking. He is definitely one to watch out for in the future.

The film also has a great soundtrack which at times provides much needed comic relief at moments of tension.

I absolutely loved Kingsman, which hopefully you’ve realised by now, and I recommend that you see it while it’s still in the cinema. I’m even tempted to go and watch it again before it comes out on DVD. The incredible cast, the soundtrack and the comedy and action iconography with the cinematography makes for the perfect film.
