Food: Chips Ahoy Cookies

Standard

I recommend biscuits a lot due to the fact they tend to be the only new foods I try… so, today I’m recommending Chips Ahoy! Crispy Choco Caramel cookies. Chips Ahoy is an American brand, or so I gather, as the cookies are more widely distributed there than anywhere else. Recently, the brand has made its way to the UK with this new variety of cookie and another of a different flavour. As soon as I saw them advertised I wanted to try them and fortunately I found them in a chips ahoylocal ASDA supermarket.

Before even opening the cookies, the packaging is so handy as it has a resealable tab at the top. The cookies were delicious (they’re all gone now). They are quite rich in chocolaty flavour and have nice chunky chips inside. These include: chocolate chips, milk chocolate coated caramel croquant and wheat and corn flakes, at least that’s what the packaging states.

They are so good and not as unhealthy as my last biscuit recommendation was!

Food: Mini Beanies

Standard

Mini Beanies PacketToday’s food recommendation is Mini Beanies. These are adorable little biscuits that look a little like pizzas or even mini chocolate pizzas. I found these while shopping in the popular supermarket Asda. They’re super delicious and are made up of about four layers, from the bottom up: Layer 1 is the biscuit base, Mini Beanieslayer 2 is the milk flavoured creamy filling, layer 3 is milk chocolate and the final layer is the crunchy ‘choccie’ beans. The only downside to these biscuits is that they are very very unhealthy (I’ll let you see the ratings when you buy them) but for a lovely indulgent snack, which we all need from time to time, I totally recommend them.

Food: Marvellous Mix Ups with Oreo

Standard

Packet Today’s food recommendation is the Cadbury Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-Ups, more specifically the ‘with Oreo’ version as I haven’t yet tried the ‘with Maynards’ version.

I first tried these when they first came out as they were on offer. I do tend to get bags like this only when they are on offer because the full price always seems a bit steep for the amount (111g) of chocolate you get. Anyway, I absolutely love them.

I think their concept is really interesting and new. If I got a pound for every time someone wished that there was a pack of different chocolates mixed into one so that they didn’t have to pay for four separate bags, for example, I would be the richest person on Earth ten times over. Not only is it a mixture of four different products in one packet it is also a packet of brilliant chocolates.

So what’s inside?

  1. Cadbury Dairy Milk Giant Buttons
  2. Cadbury Pebbles
  3. Cadbury White Buttons
  4. Mini Oreos.

If you like chocolate, who doesn’t, and you like these products and won’t die because you’re allergic or something, I urge you to try this product if you haven’t yet.

Food: Maltesers Teasers

Standard

Today’s recommendation, Maltesers Teasers, is something that I know a lot of you have already seen and eaten but as the adverts have been re-circulating and the product has been pushed again I thought the timing was apt to mention it.Teasers

I recently got a craving for this chocolate after seeing the advert so many times one night so as I was shopping today, I saw it on offer and knew I needed to pick it up. I’m glad I did because upon having a piece I was reminded why this chocolate is my favourite. It has such a wonderful creamy texture with delicious Malteaser biscuit balls that combined give such an amazing taste.Chocolate

The reason I love this chocolate so much comes from my love of biscuit pieces in chocolate. Sounds weird, but allow me to explain. Whenever we get a selection box of Celebrations, usually around Christmas time, the one chocolate I want to completely steal is the Maltesers Teasers, which have been in production a long time before the bigger bars were made. I also loved the Malteaster Bunnies which are very similar. But before the Malteser products, I used to love the Cadbury’s Biscuits that were made up of little balls of shortbread biscuit floating in Cadbury’s milk chocolate. They were so delicious, but sadly, Cadbury stopped producing them. Either way, they were what triggered my love of biscuit-ed chocolate bars, so if you’re like me and love these types of chocolate and haven’t yet tried Teasers, you really need to get on with it because it will change your life!
