Film: What We Did on Our Holiday

11189544_oriToday I’m recommending the film What We Did on Our Holiday. I ended up watching this with my Dad after a friend of his told him to watch it. It’s a good job she demanded that he saw the film as it was incredible. It was funny… it was intriguing… but it was also a well-crafted heart-warming film.

The imdb summary is as follows: Doug and Abi take their kids on a family vacation. Surrounded by relatives, the kids innocently reveal the ins and outs of their family life and many intimate details about their parents. It’s soon clear that when it comes to keeping a big secret under wraps from the rest of the family, their children are their biggest liability.

The film focuses a lot on the relationship between a grandfather and three of his youngest grandchildren. These innocent children find themselves in an unpredictable situation that causes the family to break.

I apologise that my recommendation isn’t the most eloquent or the most adept to actually provoke you to watch this film, but believe me when I say, it’s a film everyone should see at least once in their lives. Trust me. Go and watch it.

If not for the story, go and see this film for the cast: Rosamund Pike, David Tennant, Billy Connolly, Ben Miller, Amelia Bullmore, Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge, Harriet Turnbull, Celia Imrie and Annette Crosbie.

Thanks, and enjoy!
