I recommend biscuits a lot due to the fact they tend to be the only new foods I try… so, today I’m recommending Chips Ahoy! Crispy Choco Caramel cookies. Chips Ahoy is an American brand, or so I gather, as the cookies are more widely distributed there than anywhere else. Recently, the brand has made its way to the UK with this new variety of cookie and another of a different flavour. As soon as I saw them advertised I wanted to try them and fortunately I found them in a local ASDA supermarket.
Before even opening the cookies, the packaging is so handy as it has a resealable tab at the top. The cookies were delicious (they’re all gone now). They are quite rich in chocolaty flavour and have nice chunky chips inside. These include: chocolate chips, milk chocolate coated caramel croquant and wheat and corn flakes, at least that’s what the packaging states.
They are so good and not as unhealthy as my last biscuit recommendation was!
Today’s food recommendation is Mini Beanies. These are adorable little biscuits that look a little like pizzas or even mini chocolate pizzas. I found these while shopping in the popular supermarket Asda. They’re super delicious and are made up of about four layers, from the bottom up: Layer 1 is the biscuit base, layer 2 is the milk flavoured creamy filling, layer 3 is milk chocolate and the final layer is the crunchy ‘choccie’ beans. The only downside to these biscuits is that they are very very unhealthy (I’ll let you see the ratings when you buy them) but for a lovely indulgent snack, which we all need from time to time, I totally recommend them.
This week, during our weekly shop at popular supermarket Aldi, I found a wonderful and, to an unhealthy foodie like myself, perfect selection pack. Stupidly, I threw away the packaging so I don’t know what it is called but either way, the names of the snacks within are listed here and if you see a bag with these in, you’ll know it’s the one.
So what’s within?
- Burton’s Jammie Dodgers (minis) – I’ve been craving these for so long, so they would’ve been a brilliant treat to find on their own let alone in this incredible pack. If you haven’t ever eaten these, they’re basically raspberry jam sandwiched by two shortcake biscuits.
- Cadbury’s Animals – These wonderful ‘Animal shaped mini biscuits half covered with milk chocolate’ were a massive part of my childhood and still a snack my mother and I love today.
- Cadbury’s (mini) Fingers – ‘Crisp mini biscuits covered with milk chocolate’ and downright delicious, I’m hungry just thinking about them.
- Burton’s (mini) Maryland Choc Chip Cookies – For many people in the UK, these ‘Mini Cookies Containing Chocolate Chips’, are the quintessential cookies.
If any of these made you hungry, I apologise, but now you have an excuse to fill your tummy with some delightful treats.
