Music/YouTube: Lindsey Stirling

Standard

largePopular on YouTube, Lindsey Stirling is an American musician; a violinist, dancer, singer and composer who is known for her upbeat and modern use of the violin.

Her work includes a variety of styles and genres from pop to classical to dubstep and includes covers of songs, with or without vocals, choreographed violin performances with lots of dancing, original songs and professionally made music videos. Additionally, she has worked alongside Pentatonix, Josh Groban, Echosmith and other YouTube musicians and is currently touring throughout America.

I really enjoy modern violin music and Lindsey’s is really fantastic. To check out her music, her YouTube channel is perhaps the number one place to go, click here to go to it. Lindsey’s about page describes her channel very simply: ‘I love to play the violin, dance, write music, edit videos, play dress up, and perform. So, I combined it all together and this is what happened. 🙂 Subscribe to my channel and be updated when I release new music!’

Here’s some examples that I picked out:

Music: Bryan Adams

Standard

ba4 Bryan Adams is a Canadian musician and singer who has been ‘one of the most successful figures of the world of rock music during the last three decades’. He is known for his husky voice and amazing guitar skills. Bryan-Adams-1You may well know him already but since I am a huge fan of this man I thought he was worth recommending. Additionally, my Mum is an even bigger fan of him and so is Tom Fletcher from McFly/McBusted (who I also love).

Last November, I saw Bryan Adams live with my Mum and it was genuinely amazing. He has so much energy and he really is a talented singer and guitarist. His music sounded exactly the same, if not better; live even after he had been singing non-stop for over half an hour. That’s another thing, he didn’t take any breaks for the entirety of the show and there were no support bands. When we paid for a ticket to see him, we literally paid to see him. It was incredible.

If you are part of the minority who have never heard of Bryan Adams, then you should check out the following videos:
